Kickstart the health of your local authority's workforce in 2017 by joining StepJockey's UK-wide stair climbing challenge.
The affordable initiative is a great way to encourage staff to stay healthy and has already succeeded in over 20 councils nationwide. Since the challenges launched in February
Councils that sign up today will be able to enter unlimited numbers of teams and employees into the challenge. Council employees who take part will be able to win £100s of fantastic prizes for participation in this health-enhancing workplace challenge.
How does the StepJockey challenge work?
This June council staff will take to the stairs and collectively burn the same number of calories as an elite cyclist during the Tour de France. Our signs will point the way to the stairs, and staff can use the free StepJockey smartphone app to scan the signs to track their climbs and win prizes.
Employees form teams, competing with other teams within your council to see who can burn the most calories on the stairs, while all council teams collaborate to reach the ultimate goal.
We'll give you all you need to make the Challenge a success, including:
- Downloadable paper StepJockey Smart Signs for your stairwells
- Access to a live online leaderboard where everybody involved will be able to see their team's progress
- Internal comms calendar and assets to help promote the initiative
- Motivational messages to inspire players and help them climb more
When and where is it taking place?
The UK-wide council stair climbing challenge will be happening in council offices around the country in June and October 2017. You'll need to book your council's place in the challenge by 12 May to ensure you're in the upcoming Challenge.
